The world we live in

The world is going through some massive changes these days. We are facing some serious problems which has gotten so bad, we’re talking about a potentially mass extinction. The most frustrating thing about this is that there is not just one problem. It seems that everywhere I look there is a problem. Our food is being sprayed with chemicals, our water is being filled with fluoride, our clothes are being made in unethical ways, corrupt politicians, industries with too much power and so on. It can be really overwhelming. What can we do, as individuals?

One solution

Although there are countless of problems out there, there is ONE solution which fits all of them. It’s all about balance. The world as we know it is no longer in balance. The analytic and logic ways of doing is way more superior than the abstract and emotional ways. There is a whole, infinite universe within us all, but too many are living in the outer universe. We’ve lost touch with our true self. We’re getting insecure, filled with doubt, anxiety and depression. In a society where our logic and analytic way of thinking is overdeveloped, it seems to be the obvious way of seeing and “fixing” our problems as well. The result of this is a community where we’re treating our internal problems with an external view. Exploring the universe within seems to be a forgotten art. What this means is that the emptiness felt inside is often tried filled with external and materialistic things. As a short term symptom treatment. Getting addicted to the next high. More money, more power, more muscles, more traveling, more, more, more. It’s obvious that this way of thinking is disconnecting us a little more from our true self every time we act on in. This mechanism creates so many problems. Some are distracting themselves with entertainment, some are eating away their suffering, some are doing drugs to escape reality, some turn to violence, some chase acceptance and so on. Big and dirty businesses are driven by people who are constantly trying to fill their empty space within. It’s easy to feel hatred towards these people. But this hatred is driven by the same analytic and logic way of seeing the world. What once was a child not getting the approval from his parents has now turned into a multi billionaire with lots of power. Where do we draw the line from where we feel sorry for the kid to where we hate the adult? The truth is, there is no line. The adult is just a little kid who has been stuck in his suffering for a very long time.

Restore balance

Its time we turn our focus inwards. Its time to connect with our true self, balancing mind and spirit, yin and yang. As we turn our awareness within and reconnect we will see what we’re really capable of. Getting rid of attachments and expectations, no longer worrying about how others might judge us. Without our own limitations, we have the power to change the entire world by ourselves. We are the world we are living in and healing ourself is the first step towards healing the world.
